I was guilty of not drinking water for many years. I knew that all the data said to but for some reason ignore. When I was going through my health coach certification it was reiterated many times how important water was and that it was one of the first things covered. I then realized that I needed to get with the program and drink up! So, what are the actual benefits of water? Staying hydrated is crucial for maintaining good overall health. The human body is made up of around 60% water, and it needs to be replenished regularly to function properly. Here are a few concrete reasons:
Supports Physical Performance. Drinking enough water can help support physical performance by regulating body temperature, lubricating joints, and delivering oxygen and nutrients to cells.
Dehydration can lead to fatigue, reduced endurance, and impaired cognitive function. Have you had a headache in the afternoon? Yes, water prevents headaches and constipation and promotes regular bowel movements. That is a good thing lol.
Drinking enough water can flushes out toxins in the body.
Promotes Weight Loss. Yes, drinking plenty of water can help with weight loss by increasing satiety and boosting metabolic rate. Sometimes, we are just thirsty and not really hungry.
Boosts Skin Health. Drinking enough water can improve skin health by keeping it hydrated and reducing the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. This is what I have noticed the most. My skin does not seem to be as dry as it used to be.
Aids Digestion. Water is essential for digestion, as it helps break down food and move it through the digestive tract.
Dehydration can cause a range of health problems, including kidney stones, mood changes, unclear thinking, and overheating.
So, how Much Water Should You Drink? Well, depending on the heat and activity of a person but generally speaking, we should drink half our weight in ounces. For example, if you weigh 150 pounds then try to have at least 75 ounces of water a day.

Hope you drink your water!
